◆enjoy v.
1. 表示“喜歡”、“享受”等，其后可接動(dòng)名詞作賓語(yǔ)，但不能是不定式。如：
小孩子喜歡讀故事。
誤：Children enjoy to read stories.
正：Children enjoy reading stories.
2. 其后接反身代詞，表示“過得快活”，與 have a good time 同義。如：
He enjoyed himself at the party. 他在晚會(huì)上玩得很開心。
I hope you enjoy yourself this evening. 我希望你今晚過得愉快。
3. enjoy 一般只用作及物動(dòng)詞，所以在通常情況下其后不能沒有賓語(yǔ)。如：
A：Did you enjoy the film? 你喜歡這部電影嗎?
B：Yes, I enjoyed it a lot. 是的，很喜歡。
注意：上面答句中的代詞 it 不能省略。同樣，下面一句的代詞 it 也不可省略(注：其后的 when 從句為狀語(yǔ)從句而非賓語(yǔ)從句)。如：
She enjoyed it when he kissed her. 她很喜歡他吻她。
enjoy 后不接賓語(yǔ)的唯一例外可能是：在美國(guó)口語(yǔ)中，有時(shí)單獨(dú)用 Enjoy! 來表示請(qǐng)對(duì)方好好享用。如：
Here’s your steak — enjoy! 這是你的牛排，好好享用吧。
◆enough n.，adj. & adv.
1. 用作名詞，表示“足夠(的數(shù)目或數(shù)量)，沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式，但根據(jù)情況可表示復(fù)數(shù)意義。如：
Enough has been said about this subject. 關(guān)于這個(gè)問題已說得夠多了。
Enough were present to constitute a quorum. 出席的人數(shù)夠法定人數(shù)。
2. 用作形容詞，通常修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞，可放在被修飾名詞之前或之后(但以前置為多見)。如：
He has enough money to buy a car. 他有足夠的錢買輛汽車。
We have time enough to get to the airport. 我們來得及趕到機(jī)場(chǎng)。
注：有時(shí)與某些具有形容詞意味的名詞連用，此時(shí) enough 必須后置，且該名詞通常不用冠詞。如：
I was fool [=foolish] enough to accept his offer. 我接受他的提議真是太傻了。
3. 用作副詞，可用來修飾形容詞、副詞、動(dòng)詞等，此時(shí)總是放在被修飾語(yǔ)之后。如：
He didn’t practise enough. 他練習(xí)得不夠。
She isn’t good enough for [=to pass] the exam. 她的功課還不夠好，還考不及格。
I don’t know him well enough to ask him for help. 我和他不夠熟，不能請(qǐng)他幫忙。
其后可接不定式或介詞 for, 但一般不接that-從句。如：
在這條河里游泳水夠深嗎?
正：Is the river deep enough to swim in?
正：Is the river deep enough for swimming in?
誤：Is the river deep enough that people can swim in?
在口語(yǔ)中，出于客氣和禮貌，人們常用類似于下面這樣的句型:
Would you be kind enough to open the window? (=Would you
be so kind as to open the window?) 請(qǐng)你打開窗戶好嗎?
4. 在通常情況下，enough 不能用作表語(yǔ)，除非其主語(yǔ)是代詞或是那些具有(或暗示有)數(shù)量意義的名詞。如：
That’s enough. 夠了。
One such dictionary is enough. 這樣的詞典一本就夠了。
Six bottles of wine will be enough. 六瓶葡萄酒就夠了。
比較下面的正誤句子：
誤：The beer isn’t enough. 啤酒不夠。
正：There isn’t enough beer. 啤酒不夠。
誤：Was the time enough? 時(shí)間夠嗎?
正：Did you have enough time? 你們時(shí)間夠嗎?
